Dark Star Orchestra brings its Grateful Dead-inspired live show to FTL War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 4, 2026. Listed on miami-tickets.com under Concerts and Pop / rock, this date is part of the band's Dark Star Orchestra 2026 Tour.
Formed in Chicago in 1997, Dark Star Orchestra set out to keep the Grateful Dead's music alive through carefully researched recreations of complete historical setlists. Rather than following a fixed greatest-hits sequence, the band selects a particular Grateful Dead show and reveals its source after the performance. With more than 2,300 performances behind them, the group has built a reputation as a dedicated, continually touring tribute and continuation act.
Audiences can expect a full-band performance shaped by the Dead's improvisational tradition, with two sets and an encore typical of the group's shows. Songs played at recent performances have included “Dark Star,” “Bird Song,” “Franklin's Tower,” “China Cat Sunflower” and “Deal”; the specific setlist for Fort Lauderdale has not been announced. The band's multigenerational crowd and colorful Deadhead culture add to the communal concert atmosphere. No opening act is confirmed in the supplied event information.
Prices currently start around $40, with seats for major concerts potentially reaching $500 or more. Availability and prices can change as the event approaches.
